Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because (this journal is the first international journal to deal with the technology and practice of digital multimedia broadcasting. This journal has published more than 167 papers selected from about 600 submissions over the world. 12 special issues edited by world wide experts have been published as well.--Luojia968 (talk) 04:49, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- The journal is notable (indexed in, for example, Scopus), but the above reasons have nothing to do with notability (see WP:GNG and WP:NJournals). --Randykitty (talk) 10:21, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
In article: Forward_error_correction, this journal has been cited because it publishes a very important paper on hard-decision algorithms. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luojia968 (talk • contribs) 18:21, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- Again: please read the links in my post above. Whether or not this journal is cited in other WP articles is completely immaterial to the question of notability. --Randykitty (talk) 18:28, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

- Yes, slow down! Nobody is proposing speedy deletion any more. The article is not really up to our standards, however (which is why people thought the journal was not notable). See our writign guide for articles on academic journals). --Randykitty (talk) 19:51, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
