Proposed Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005)
[edit]Hi, I'm new here, so please be gentle if I say something silly. But - I'm surprised there is no talk about the proposed amendments, given that from what I have heard they will be substantially changing the WHO's powers.
A few links from my today's reading:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCoFLhDKlA4&t=351s The World Health Organization's proposed new pandemic treaty and amendments to the International Health regulations are raising concerns about the organization's increasing power and its impact on the sovereignty of countries and self-determination of people.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lyeO9IqJzc The extension of the mechanism for self-authorization of the WHO opens the door to a potential abuse of power, allowing the declaration of a global emergency without any real reason or justification.
THe changes are cleary seen here.
