Why did it stop after 1995-96?

I have a feeling it stopped because it was sponsored by Benson and Hedges, and that it stopped when sport sponsorship outlawed in Australia in 90s. In fact I think it was sometimes even called "Benson and Hedges International Cricketer of the Year". But I can't find a ref to back this up. Adpete (talk) 01:01, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I mean when sport sponsorship by tobacco companies was outlawed in the 90s, not sport sponsorship in general. Adpete (talk) 23:11, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
