[edit]This article could have a better name of interest points. However, I have avoided this name beacuse of a suggestion by user KYN to rename corner detection into interest point. My view, however, is that it is better to have an overview meta article that describes the notion of interest points (which includes corners and blobs) and then refers to the articles on corner detection and blob detection for more in-depth descriptions.
