Discussion about Discussion
[edit]There have been several sometimes less-than-informed changes to some sections of this article in the last several months, albeit often with the best of intentions. It would be good instead if these changes were first suggested and discussed where discussion is supposed to take place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scanf (talk • contribs) 03:10, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Open Source?
[edit]- What is meant by 'open source software' here? A quick glance at the IntelliCAD website does not reveal anything suggesting this, and the 'download IntelliCAD' link doesn't seem to work... -- StevenDH (talk) 14:07, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see any indication that IntelliCAD is really open source, except by PR material that shows that the makers of the software don't understand the meaning of open source. NullPointerException (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 15:13, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Some more digging brought up this document, which plainly says "IntelliCAD is not open source". Updating this article, even it's gonna be removed soon it need not create confusion. -- StevenDH (talk) 13:22, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- IntelliCAD is not "Open Source", it is a PROPRIETARY DEVELOPER'S TOOLKIT similar to ACIS, Parasolids, and D-Cubed for use only by code subscribers paying commercial royalties for use in their end-user products. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scanf (talk • contribs) 05:05, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

"First Hand Account"
[edit]This section follows the first-hand account from Robert Drummer (rqd.com) himself in an email sent this contributor in January 2010 which can be provided on request. Since this event was only witnessed by two people involved there is no "documentation" but since it proved an interesting and important milestone in the project it should be mentioned here. Further questions regarding this account should be posted HERE please.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Scanf (talk • contribs) 02:26, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on IntelliCAD. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20081006203315/http://www.cadinfo.net/reviews/icad2k.htm to http://www.cadinfo.net/reviews/icad2k.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Hello fellow Wikipedians, The existing article had outdated content, I supplemented it with content transferred from Polish (https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/IntelliCAD) and Russian Wikipedia(https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/IntelliCAD). They have been translated by me into English. The content was already mostly approved. I added a bibiography item, when it was possible I supplemented the links, I also added press articles. "Advert" tag
[edit]There is an "Advert" tag in article (message "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement."). I requested more details, but original placer did not provide any information. Can anyone explain where is "advertisement" in the article? --Kae (talk) 19:29, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
I haven't learned of specific areas that need fixing after it was requested (above). However, I am working to improve this article overall: include updated citations (notability flag) and to remove text that sounds like an advertisement (advert tag). If anyone has feedback on the current or upcoming changes, please comment for discussion on the Talk page. Ata.ITC (talk) 16:16, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
