Features list changing
providing link here as reference for later date when finalized feature list revealed. http://vr-zone.com/articles/exclusive-sandy-bridge-e-now-expected-to-launch-in-november-x79-chipset-getting-further-feature-cuts/13173.html 199.133.213.76 (talk) 15:28, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed, and now that it is announced, time to write in the present tense and fill out the details. It might be worthwhile to keep a few of the sources talking about the delays and redesigns that seemed to down-spec some of the interfaces, for example. Maybe there will be subsequent versions of the chip. Certainly there should be other Patsburgs out, but we need to see what product numbers they show up under. Incorrect data
wat? why is the article named X79, yet the contents are about the x68
- I can find no recent data that states Patsburg will be an IOH and will work with an ICH11—in fact I find data to the contrary that it will be a PCH connected via a PCH-E like bus to the CPU (e.g., DMI) 50.53.15.51 (talk) 19:32, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Should we have a separate article on the Intel Z68? -- Petri Krohn (talk) 02:16, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
Completely wrong
The (putative) X79 is a PCH, not an IOH. It is not released, so all data is speculative. The speculative data states that this is a PCH that supports the DMI, not an IOH that supports the QPI. the article need to be completely rewritten or deleted -Arch dude (talk) 00:17, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- I stubbed the artcle. The X79 is referenced by verifiable reliable sources, so we cannot simply delete the article, but tehb contents were completely incorrect. -Arch dude (talk) 00:36, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Take another look now that it has been announced. W Nowicki (talk) 00:00, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
