i purchased a car on jan 2020 but was not able to register it to my name till march 2nd 2020.i had full coverage insurance on another car so i knew i had 30 days after registering it to my name i have to report it to my insurance company during which time my coverage on the car that i had insurance will cover the second car that i had purchased.the reason why i could not do that was financial.i had an accident a week after i registered to my name on march 9th 2020.i informed the insurance company about the accident and the date of registration but the refused to pay the claim base on the fact hat i had purchased it on jan 2020 and they count the 30 days from date of the purchased which did not make me a registered owner till march 2nd.what is my right.am i a register owner of a car from jan 2020 eventhough the car is not registered to my name and no registration fee been paid or am i the legal and register owner of the car as of march 2020 when fees were paid to department of motor vehicle.
