Market Street Facade mislabeled
[edit]There is a photo in the info box labeled "Market Street Facade". I am pretty sure that photo is taken from the 49th Street side, near the main street entrance. As the box says, lower down, the main entrance and mailing address was 111 N. 49th St. The common shorthand name for the hospital was "49th Street". --AJim (talk) 05:55, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
Ventilation
[edit]Along with other environmental factors, Kirkbride et al made a big point of emphasizing ventilation, something mentioned in several contemporaneous textbooks on mental illness.
This deserves more attention on its own merit, and it deserves more attention because people with psychiatric sequelae of environmental sensitivities are currently being invisibilized.
One of the ways that Kirkbride buildings were later compromised was by severely restricting ventilation.
