Importance
[edit]I'm not sure about the importance of this article. Apple is notable. The iPhone is notable. iPhone applications are notable. I just don't know if particular applications are notable unless that have reliable sources mention them according to WP:RS. OlYellerTalktome 13:09, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]This application was the first GUI-based application allowing users to install 3rd party applications on iPhone therefore it is quite important. (btw , Cydia has a separate page too) PCrew00 (talk) 13:16, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but that doesn't define the article as notable by WP:Notability. OlYellerTalktome 17:19, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
I agree that this article is important because this was the first program to easily install applications on the iPhone without hacking skills required. The way to install applications directly on the iPhone without computer sync was very similar to the way that will be used one year later with the official App Store. 13 June 2010
its not an app, it was a SOURCE for apps. i found this page while going back over the history of jailbreaking and was glad to find it, if it doesnt get its own article it should at least have a section somewhere simply because it was significant in its time, led to others, etc — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:B:8F80:1AE:4522:D763:912F:1CD8 (talk) 21:20, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

I cleaned up a few images in this article and added some references, it's now at Start-class. Possible future expansion could include a timeline, or number of people who used the application. Technical data such as how the installation was possible would also be great. GrooveDog (talk) (Review) 18:36, 11 July 2009 (UTC) |
