Question
[edit]Article says "in 1861 the committee invited Verdi, offering five suggestions as to form: anthem, chorale, triumphal march (for full orchestra), or march (for wind instruments)". That is four forms not five. Is "four" a mistake or is there an omission?Smeat75 (talk) 17:11, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing. At the outset of the commission (to the other composers) they had 5 forms; by the time they approached Verdi, they narrowed it to four. I've made the correction in the text. Thanks again -- kosboot (talk) 17:46, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
