[edit]China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) is the regulatory agency in charge of press and publications. GAAP issued guidelines for industry reform, calling for restructuring and mergers to streamline its state-run publishers. There were nearly 600 state-run publishing houses at the end of 2007.<:ref>Yang Binbin. "China to Loosen Control on Publishers," Caijing. April 22, 2009; article in Chinese.</ref>
China National Import and Export (Group) Corporation (CNPIEC) is the largest one engaged in publication import and export fields in China. CNPIEC has over 70% market share. The CNPIEC "China Publishing Houses Directory" lists the following publishers in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region:<:ref>CNPIEC: China Publishing Houses Dirctory</ref>

- Inner Mongolia People's Publishing House
