I just want to point out the text between the two code blocks of the first example (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inline_assembler#A_system_call_in_GCC) look corrupted and not really understandable. Unfortunately it's not very clear how one should flag content on wikipedia and the only hint I got is to do something on the talk page...which by the way, is a bit ambiguous presenting a huge text box and no real hint of what to do.
Should I really be expected to waste 15-30 mins reading wikipedia norms and syntax just to flag some text? like, what is this tilde signature supposed to do?85.126.22.226 (talk) 20:19, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly do you see that looks corrupted or isn't understandable? No one else has posted here, apparently, which must be part of the reason you're puzzled. Otherwise, you'd be able to examine others' posts for what to do. The four-tilde signature is just construct that calls the system to place the user's signature and publication time stamp, which would be tedious to do otherwise. 15–30 minutes to learn Wikipedia's ways?
