Hi
[edit]Hi, I have added a redirect from "Inguinal triangle" but since the medical world is moving away from the use of Eponyms, should this article not be renamed "Inguinal triangle" and have the other pages redirect there?SuperAntMD 17:31, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Looking at this objectively... it isn't clear-cut -- Google:
- "inguinal triangle" -- 890 hits
- "Hesselbach's triangle" -- 281 hits
- If one encloses the terms in quotes and searches on PubMed it is:
- "inguinal triangle" -- 6 hits
- "Hesselbach's triangle" -- 9 hits
- I think the article ought to be renamed... will do. Nephron T|C 23:04, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Borders of the triangle.
[edit]Just to clarify my correction. Listing the rectus muscle as a border was from a low quality source. That information is incorrect. Referring to any surgical text, or any surgeon, the definition is technically that the lateral border of the rectus sheath is the medial border of the triangle. This is not a trivial difference and would have consequences in the repair of a hernia in this region. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Systemloc (talk • contribs) 23:37, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
