The current version is a bit of an essay, but Wingz was a great program, and it's good to see it recorded in Wikipedia. I imagine it would be pretty hard to get good sources for all this, though my memory confirms nearly all of it. Maybe Numbers will finally break the grip of Excel, at least on the Mac. I am doubtful about mention of HyperScript as being HyperTalk-like. I found http://hyperscript.net, which describes it as a language with C-like syntax. It has line-end semicolons and all that. Can whoever added that clarify why they think this language was in any way related to HyperTalk? There have been similar additions made to the HyperTalk and xTalk pages that could use some sources. - I saw the CITE and posted one that states the linkage. On a personal note, I used the Mac version and it was absolutely HC-a-like, including almost all of the same keywords. However, the link you provide is very different indeed, and definitely does appear to be C-like. I assume this difference was from the re-write on the PC and Unix platforms, but I can't verify that (yet). I'll keep looking for additional sources. Maury Markowitz (talk) 20:51, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- Interesting links you added there. What I saw of XTND was just a plugin mechanism used by various Claris products, but didn't include any scripting. It was stuff like import/export filters mostly. First I hear of a scripting language. Uliwitness (talk) 14:13, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
