Obsolete article
[edit]The article isn't bad but it refers to many things from 5 or more years ago (like the elections, or the list of segments), so it seems like it was over in 2008. It doesn't talk enough about it's actual period of being the most viewed and most influential korean variety; about the most popular challenges they have accomplished like bobsled, rowing or the biannual song festival or even about the chasing games that had inspired SBS "Running Man".
I'm not korean so i can't access many episodes and news about the show, difficulting revamping the article but if no one does it, maybe i give it a try. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.6.19.37 (talk) 22:49, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
Nicknames
[edit]Can a source be provided for any, or all of the nicknames that were added for the six hosts? zadignose 01:32, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes.Kfc1864 09:03, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I will add more references for both its hosts and its occational individuals immediately, as mentioned. Peterhansen2032 (talk) 03:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't think the another nickname of its member Roh Hong-cheol is a 'Korean Psycho'(to explain this, 'Dol+I', 'Stone-kid' is just enough-a further explaination will looks so harmful that relates a critical personal attack to Mr. Roh). If it is sure, someone should mention that reason and its sources. Peterhansen2032 00:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- It was mentioned in S03E58 (The Henry special) It was a temporary one, so I'll take it off.Kfc1864 talk my edits 02:58, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Many of the translated nicknames seem very awkward: just as if they were translated by someone who doesn't understand Korean using Google Translate. For example, Gil Seong-Jun's nickname of "태생적으로 재미업는 친구" is rendered as, "friend who viviparous is not fun." I suppose this is because a phrase like "태생의 동물" means "viviparous animal" (an animal that gives birth to live young), but the term "태생적으로" can also mean something like "from its most basic origins." The phrase "태생적으로 재미없는 친구" is probably meant to mean something more like "a friend who doesn't have a single fun, interesting or entertaining bone in his body" (which I admit still suffers from being an overly long and ponderous phrase). I guess all I mean to say is that all of the Google Translate stuff on this page (or any page, for that matter) really needs to either be fixed or done away with, since it's all just confusing and therefore useless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yuryeong hwoesa (talk • contribs) 00:52, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
A simple translation of "태생적으로 재미업는 친구" would be - "Born unfunny" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.239.52.90 (talk) 18:12, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Gil Seong-jun's nickname (태생적으로 재미업는 친구) can simply being translated as "naturally unfunny friend". Also, he has another new nickname (무리수), that can being translated as "excessive;irrational" as mentioned in S04E300 ("Pause" special) that aired on October 20, 2012. FirstStooge (talk) 07:07, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Infinite Challenge is famous for its always-evolving cast's character and interaction. One of the consequences of is they have acquired a lot of individual and couple nicknames throughout the year, some still being used until this day (i.e. 고유명수 (Proper Myungsoo), 하와수 (Ha and Soo)), some had stopped being relevant ages ago (i.e. 박깃발 (Flag Park; only relevant around 2011 Music Festival, the first time the nickname appeared), 깨방정 (Recklessness; given to Myungsoo because of his habit of spoiling Infinite Challenge's project to his radio show's listener, stopped being relevant after he resigned from his radio show gig). So, I'm suggesting we clean up the nickname section a bit and deleting the irrelevant nicknames from the page because it looks very cluttered right now. Lhanafi (talk) 14:50, 03 September 2015 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Muhan Dojeon(Programme Image).jpg
[edit]Image:Muhan Dojeon(Programme Image).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Grammar
[edit]Just cleaned up some of the grammar issues up to the "History" section. Brett (talk) 02:24, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Title
[edit]The title of this article is currently "Infinite Challenge," which is an accurate translation of "무한도전." However, in the article, the phrase is used only once to refer to the title of the program. Thereafter it's referred to by its transliteration, "Muhan Dojeon." If the official English title of the show is "Infinite Challenge" then all of the "Muhan Dojeon"s throughout the article should be changed to "Infinite Challenge." I tried searching at MBC's website, but the English website has no information on this program. If there is no official English title provided by MBC, I see no reason why the title of the article should not be changed to "Muhan Dojeon," especially since "Infinite Challenge" is definitely not the only possible translation of "무한도전." And another point in favor of changing the title is the fact that this show's counterpart, 무한걸스, is not once referred to as "Infinite Girls" (at least not in any articles I've looked at so far), but only "Muhan Girls." Any other thoughts on this? Brett (talk) 13:41, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Just as an update on this, MBC indeed does use "Infinite Challenge" as the English language title of the program. This can be seen on the website and official youtube channels, eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FcbZ4fU0HE . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.90.86.82 (talk) 18:48, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

4 seasons?!
[edit]Why was this changed to be 4 seasons? The series homepage still clearly lists only two previous seasons, called, unsurprisingly "Season 1" and "Season 2." The thing you're now calling Seasons 2 & 3 is all season 2 according to the official website. Additionally, episode numbers start back at 1 for each season; they don't run continuously the way you've got them now. Again, this is according to the official website. If you don't think it makes sense, then yell at the people who run the show, don't just make crap up to suit your own reality and slap it on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.187.100.20 (talk) 02:41, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Guest list.
[edit]I suggest removing the list of guests that have appeared on the show. At least the part with Korean guests. It takes a lot of space in the article, has no specific info other than being a list of names, and all of it is already covered by the List of Infinite Challenge episodes, so it serves little purpose to keep it in the article. A lot of guests listed have only appeared once, and many not for several years. I'll leave this up for a while before doing anything, in case there are objections.
