[edit]I think Infiltration should remain as a separate entry. It is an important concept in the planning and design of Sustainable urban drainage systems. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Willow4 (talk • contribs) 26 May 2006
Infiltration is certainly not the same as permeability. That is complete rubbish, and I'll remove that suggestion immediately. Mwtoews 16:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Relation to chemical content
[edit]shouldnt we have some text in this article regarding the role of chemical contents of infiltrating water, eg processes of adsorption of some chemical species on soil particles and the inverse of dissolving some chemicals which are already absorbed or adsorbed in the soil? Kostiakov
[edit]Another infiltration equation is the Kostiakov equation. I don't have the details handy, but believe it has a similar approach as Horton

Infiltration Calculation Methods
[edit]I do not think that the "Infiltration calculation methods" introductory paragraph is correct. With the exception of the first subheading the remaining subheadings are not "estimation methods" but instead are expressions to represent the process of infiltration.
Estimation methods would include procedures to calibrate one of the infiltration equations against field measurements such as matching the Horton equation to infiltrometer measurements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GILDog (talk • contribs) 06:56, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
