(Copied from article to discussion) More of a question than comment. Is this disease transmittable to humans from animals?
Regarding this question: as far as I know, the CAV-1 host range does not extend to humans, but the virus can be spread through contact with an infected surface (adenoviruses are non-enveloped and can be quite stable at room temperature). If a human has residual CAV-1 on the skin or clothes, the virus can then be spread to animals that the human comes into contact with. 198.202.66.219 (talk) 21:58, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
