"Rum"
[edit]I don't think rum is an appropriate term for Indian whisky, because it starts with a clear molasses-based grain neutral spirit to which flavoring and coloring is later added. Generally speaking, in rum the color and flavor develop naturally through the brewing process (of course this does not include Indian rum which is made by a process similar to Indian whisky). -Splitpeasoup 22:23, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Arrack ban
[edit]Arrack has been banned in a few southern states. Editors may want to cover that somewhere in the article. Kenfyre (talk) 03:54, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- Arrack is not the same as Indian whisky. The ban is covered under Arrack#India. I think a mention in this article would be unnecessary. BigJolly9 (talk) 19:38, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
