Proposed merger of History of Indian animation to this article

[edit]

History of Indian animation should be merged with this article.--Bigsuperindia (talk) 17:45, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Business Forecast

[edit]

This article has been diverted to something called commercialization of the topic. Much of information is about business data where it should be about animation in Indian context. --Bigsuperindia (talk) 21:22, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I googled to find only company website. There is no literature on animation as such. this article can't go anywhere. we need something relevant to the topic. --Onef9day (talk) 10:15, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Creating a new page on the History of Indian Animation

[edit]

The article on the History of Indian Animation was merged with this one back in 2010. I believe that I have enough content (or at least know of enough sources) to start a new page, which can then be built upon by those with more time, experience and better access to sources. I think its a good idea to make a distinct page rather than just add to this one since a separate page will enable future editors to explore the topic in greater depth.

Besides, on the current page on the Indian Animation industry ( as viewed on 3rd November 2016, 10:21 pm), the historical bits are the same as the introduction(the lead section). The lead section also employs a fair number of references. This goes against wikipedia's suggestions for writing good leads, which can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:How_to_create_and_manage_a_good_lead_section .
