This article is REALLy rose colored glasses. It glosses over all the major real disputes and basically just says the USA and India both love freedom and are lovey dovey buddies.
Yeah besides any parnership with the US has to be based on present economic and military reality i.e India toeing the US line as 'junior' like most of US's close allies in the World UK,Japan,Canada etc, —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.8.198.65 (talk) 09:26, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
This article seems to have a lot of original research and/or un-sourced information in addition to comments not in wiki style. Contralya 00:16, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Commies...?!
[edit]There should be a mention of Indian communist parties' stated opposition to any sort of partnership between India and the US —Preceding unsigned comment added by ReluctantPhilosopher (talk • contribs) 15:34, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
POV
[edit]"The U.S.-India defense relationship derives from a common belief in freedom, democracy, and the rule of law". I'll ignore for Wiki sake that this is just blatantly false, at least on the part of the U.S. (e.g. one might consider stated objection from multiple sources that they refuse jurisdiction of the ICC. There is no bias to say this is an opposition to the rule of law). Even ignoring this though, it's certainly POV to say, blanketly and with not even poor, objectionable sources, that both India and the U.S. have "a common belief in freedom, democracy, and the rule of law". --Jammoe 03:08, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
