Originally: Finally, in 1988, India exploded its second nuclear test (see: Pokhran-II) which invited Pakistan to follow the latter's step and performed its own atomic tests (see:Chagai-I and Chagai-II).

Changed: Finally, in 1998, India exploded its second nuclear test (see: Pokhran-II) which invited Pakistan to follow the latter's step and performed its own atomic tests (see:Chagai-I and Chagai-II).

Change: The year had a typo mistake as it was 1998 and not 1988 when India conducted Pokharan-II.

The GDP (Nominal) and (PPP) of India has changed considerably, to almost $2.05 trillion and $7.27 trillion respectively, as per the International Monetary Fund and the official Wikipedia page on India. Please do rectify this on the page.

I would like an authorized editor to edit the following:

1). please change the line under sub-section cultural links" Pakistan's culture is somewhat similar to that of North India"
to "Pakistan's culture is somewhat similar to that of North-Western India(J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat)" because of the
Geographical and Ethnic similarity that is not found similar in other north Indian states of UP, Bihar etc there are various
     reasons like:
1.Sindhi people are found in Gujarat and Rajasthan while not in Other North-Indian states which are on whole unaware of such language and people. And so are Gujarati speaking people are found in Sindh province in Pakistan especially in Karachi.
.Punjabi is certainly well spoken in Pakistan as it is there major Regional language and on other hand Sindhi is also spoken in Rajasthan and Gujarat which is also another major language in Pakistan.
2.People of Jammu and Kashmir are ethnically similar to Dardic races of Pakistan which are not found anywhere else in India.
.Father of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah was ethnically Gujarati.
.Kutchi Language of Kutch in Gujarat is very close to Sindhi language and in some cases intelligible. The region is also extremly close culturally to Sindh.
    3. Rajasthan in Western-India has Desert shared to Pakistan which is nowhere found in Fertile North-India.
.Gujarat in Western-India has a coast-line which is also not found in Land-locked North-India but found in Pakistan.
    4. Indus-valley civilization sittings are found in Sindh-Gujarat-Rajesthan-Punjab-Haryana which suggest certain historical similarities.

Above mentioned points certainly are with consideration to Border-States because of there much closer proximity.

Please consider the above request and make the required changes.

I have tweaked to emphasize northwest India. More detail is not needed here. (I am also not convinced that it is wrong to make the connection with all of North India, because there are certainly commonalities in language, dress, food habits etc.) - Kautilya3 (talk) 22:05, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 5 external links on India–Pakistan relations. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Orphaned references in India–Pakistan relations

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of India–Pakistan relations's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "demarche":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 20:36, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Editing restrictions

The following restriction is placed on this article and all others in the India-Pakistan topic area, broadly construed, as a result of this arbitration enforcement request:

  • An ethnicity claim restriction Any attempt to bring the purported or deduced or imagined ethnic or nationality identities of any users will lead to an immediate block. This includes an editor's own stated ethnic identity or nationality. Wikipedia uses reliable sources and the weighting of those sources to decide what to include, what not to include, and how the content should be stated in an article. Please stick to arguments based on those factors.
  • A socking accusation restriction Any edit made by an IP or new editor alleging socking or meatpuppetry may be freely reverted and any accusations ignored on article or user talk pages. SPI is the only place for such allegations.

The following wikipedia page should be added to the list of sporting rivalry between India and Pakistan. Only the rivalry in Cricket has been added, the rivalry for Hockey should also be added and the link for the same is shared below [1] "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India%E2%80%93Pakistan_field_hockey_rivalry"
