Alphabetical by FIRST NAME?
[edit]- I'm surprised in this day and age to find this list alphabetized by the first name of the scientist. I doubt seriously that would have happened if we were viewing a list of male scientists. To call a female by her first name rather than her last name is noted as something to avoid in the discussions of how to write biographies of women in science. Could this be reconsidered and alphabetized by last name?LLMHoopes (talk) 03:47, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
Need?
[edit]Is this article actually needed in it's current form? Given List of female scientists before the 20th century, List of female scientists in the 20th century and List of 21st-century women scientists exist? PLUS there are topic-specific lists, like List of women in mathematics. Kj cheetham (talk) 13:10, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
Joanne Pransky is not a scientist
[edit]Ms. Pransky is a journalist with no formal education in science or journalism. I believe this is a justified deletion based on objective facts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RobotDaneellives (talk • contribs) 20:30, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
