Some background to the creation of this page
[edit]This page is a merge of a series of 27 alphanumeric articles that had a wide ranging number of links some of which had very little to do with the environment or environmental issues. I had culled the existed lists and had also recommended deletion. See these links for a bit of background:
The list still needs further culling to remove extraneous links and avoid redundancy with related lists. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 06:50, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
A suggested rationale for inclusion of links
[edit]As it stands this list is too much of a mish-mash of article links. I suggest the following criteria for the inclusion of any links:
- The must be predominately about an environmental issue rather than have a passing reference to it
- no environmental organisations. They are at List of environmental organizations
- no links that are already on sibling lists such as List of climate change topics and List of conservation topics unless they are of importance
- no books. They are listed at List of environmental books
- no country specific links of low importance such as Acts of Parliament, protected areas, organisations etc. It would otherwise be unnecessarily long and therefore of a lesser use.
Some of the decisions we make will be a little subjective but we should be able to arrive at a consensus. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 07:12, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
