Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... I am a primary researcher for this topic. The information is from my own research. --Aimhigh3 (talk) 15:19, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- It's probably not a viable Wikipedia article, at least in its present form. It reads like an essay about a cultural phenomenon, not an encyclopedic presentation of the state of knowledge about a thing. The tone is expository, not factual. - Wikidemon (talk) 15:33, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- As it happens, "own research" is not a good reason to keep things on Wikipedia, see WP:NOR and WP:V. Anyway, you improved the article after it was proposed for deletion, and it has potential. Please carry on developing it, citing reliable sources, and rewriting material in your own words. I've just realised that at the moment it's still pretty similar to the material at Stereotypes of African Americans in the United States, so it could be nominated at WP:AfD if you don't make it stand out fairly soon. – Fayenatic London 17:27, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- OK, it's better now, but keep working on it! – Fayenatic London 08:25, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
