Future Debates about ADF

[edit]

I noted that this article has been marked several times for deletion. Just wanted to indicate that the impact of the performance of the party at the 2021 election and the fact that it allegedly is the case that the Greens would have got 2 more seats if the IGV votes went to them, is pretty significant (whether it is right or not, and whether or not the IGV voters were genuinely duped). Its a controversial issue and even led to questions in the House of Commons. Also, as to the issue of voters being "duped" although the voting patterns and relatively high vote might suggest they were deliberately diverting votes from the Greens (e.g. the allegation that IVG was conceived or or used as a spoiler party) it is also conceivable that many unionist voters who want to vote Green but don't because it is a pro-independence party, saw the words "independent Green" and assumed that was a non-independence supporting Green Party. It is known that some people end up making their decision as they stand in the ballot box. Id ask people to consider this the next time it is marked for deletion. For a declaration of interests, I am Scottish and I also generally support Independence. ControversialJellyfish (talk) 21:00, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
