[edit]I like your topic and think this is a good start to your page. It needs more information within each subsection, but its a good lead. Another subsection could talk about the income inequality based on gender in Ohio. It would add more information and more substance about inequality that is in Ohio. Also, something is wrong with your citations because they can't be seen on your page; it only shows that you put something in but you can't see your sources.

Good start
[edit]This is a good start. But how about filling it in some? Also, check wikipedia citations format. Policy Matters Ohio has data on inequality figures. But you might also include a section on "Controversies" suggesting that some scholars don't think inequality is a problem in Ohio. For example take a look at the organization Buckeye Institute in Columbus. They typically argue that inequality or poverty aren't a problem. Also, what about "Solutions" in Ohio? You might discuss that as well. Also, would this be a stand along article or part of the Ohio page? Mcassell04 (talk) 11:38, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
Peer Review
[edit]Thus far your topic is very interesting and relevant given the rise in income inequality! I would suggest expanding on the introduction of your article. While you have provided the definition of income inequality, you may want to direct your page so that the introduction portion is not so broad. I also noticed a small discrepancy in the way you were formatting the percentages, 1 percent vs 1%. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twright3293 (talk • contribs) 16:31, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Not much has been done
[edit]John, I and another person have made a number of suggestions to your draft in the sandbox. Have you addressed these? mcMcassell04 (talk) 23:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
It seems that you have some good information here, but also have some more research to do. First off, I would suggest looking for scholarly articles/peer evaluated papers. I think this will help with deeper information in order to help fulfill each section! As far as the sections go, I really like how you have each section divided, and so far you meet the Wikipedia requirements, so that is a positive thing! I would also suggest trying to hyperlink some subjects to each other. For example, you use Policy Matters Ohio in your references, so maybe you could mention them in the actual article and then hyperlink to their Wikipedia page, even though it is still in building stages, but I think you get the point. I also like that you are using multiple references, that shows that you have looked to multiple sources for your information. Overall, it is a good start to your article, it just needs some filling in with more information and slightly different structure.Kyle McClain Kent (talk) 17:42, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]There is no explanation of why the case in Ohio is any more significant than any other U.S. state. Most U.S. states, and the nation as a whole, have experienced an increase in inequality since the mid-1970s. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 00:08, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
Proposed merge to Ohio#Economy
[edit]I propose merging select portions of Income inequality in Ohio to Ohio#Economy and deleting other portions (namely, the out-of-scope "Controversies and arguments" section). This article has not demonstrated its own notability in 4 years since it was tagged, and its content would fit much better in the main article, per other US states' articles.
