==Fair use rationale for Image:Inaglasshousecover.jpg==

Untitled

[edit]

Image:Inaglasshousecover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

WWA LP cover

[edit]

That, of course, was an unusual cover design, which went even beyond the die-cuts of Power and the Glory, Octopus, and also Acquiring the Taste perhaps (I can't quite remember).
Someone who has ready access to his LP could perhaps describe it. Varlaam (talk) 22:45, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a black and white lithograph of the group in the center, covered with a thin plastic material. Quite effective as "glass." The don't make them like that anymore. HammerFilmFan (talk) 15:44, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

CD releases

[edit]

I have begun a section for those, beginning with the copy sitting on my desk. Varlaam (talk) 19:28, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I found a 1992 and 2000 CD reissue (the 1992 reissue was released in the US, meaning the album was available in the US and Canada before 2004) Guestaccount0001 (talk) 01:29, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This concept album "In a Glass Album" was based on the experience of Derek Shulman at the end of the Simon Dupree and the Big Sound experience when he suffered a mental break down. Unfortunately, he apparently doesn't feel at ease speaking about this experience as he once did.

I ran across a son of Derek Shulman's who happened to post a comment about his dad as the lead singer for a Simon Dupree song in youtube. A comment should also be made about the cover of this album being black in color signifying it as the band's Black Sabbath type of heavy metal concept

e.g. Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moom," Supertramp's "Crime of the Century," King Crimson's "Red," etc..

Interview with misinformation

[edit]

Eddie Trunk interviewed Derek Shulman in 2005. In the interview, Eddie claims that the 35th anniversary edition of In a Glass House was the first edition of the album to be released in North America. This claim is incorrect because it was released (officially) in the US in 1992. This is just a warning to not use this claim as credible information.
