Recording date
[edit]I've been unable to find definite sources, but I suspect the EP was probably not recorded in 2005.
- In this Youtube video from May 2009 Jude identifies So Long, So Long as "a new song". (She does also say that the album is already recorded and pressed, so we do have a latest possible recording date - the Independent also says it was described on the website as already pressed in April 2009.)
- The song title of "Pinochet Bids Farewell from Beyond the Grave" - Augusto Pinochet died in December 2006
- That same song appears to be performed by Phil Moody (his performance of it at the band's farewell concert is very similar), who apparently joined the band around 2008. (He does appear as a guest on 2006's Get On with It, but not as a band member and is not on 2005's A Singsong and a Scrap)
- The Day The Lady Died remixes Midi Lidi's "Je Toho Hodně Co Říct" - according to its Youtube release, this was released in 2007
A recording date of 2008-9 seems more likely, but the sources that mention a recording date at least mostly suggest 2005 (at least, it was apparently on pre-order at gigs from 2005). I've just injected a bit of doubt into the description ('around 2005') for now. TSP (talk) 08:45, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
I pre-ordered a copy from the Chumbawamba website on 30 August 2006. Of course the EP as planned at that time is not necessarily the same one that was eventually issued. --AnotherBunDance (talk) 12:33, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
