Necessity of Article?
[edit]- Since this article cites virtually no references beyond 'In Defense of Animals' websites, should it even be included on WP? This kind of thing lessens WP credibility. Have monitored this page for a good while and it has not been improved upon. I don't think normal citation notification boxes are adequate for this sort of article. - WP:AfD is that-a-way. Rockpocket 00:34, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- ehh, I know...just didn't want to be too quick about it....Jpj681 (talk) 00:37, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Its entirely unsourced and, there isn't a whole lot in the article that justifies it as particularly notable. I doubt anyone is going to provide sources (since the requests have been there over a year), so either it should be culled or deleted. I say, be bold! Rockpocket 00:40, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- haha! okay it's torpedo time, then:P. Jpj681 (talk) 00:41, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- i am turning this article into a stub. while being recommended for deletion, a stub should suffice for now. most of the material was lifted directly from the IDA website, for instance the list of 'accomplishments'. [1] Jpj681 (talk) 03:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- correction, wont change to a stub whilst in AfD. thanks michellecrisp! :P Jpj681 (talk) 03:52, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- citing references from outside websites that are nearly identical to the information on the original IDA website. this doesn't seem kosher. the 'about us' page on IDA [2] / the 'ecofoodprint page with a feature on Elliot Katz [3]Jpj681 (talk) 04:02, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- article is up to WPstandard. some reference issues exist, but on the whole it seems good. anyone who wants to flesh it out further would be appreciated, i suppose. Jpj681 (talk) 04:51, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- still 10 unreferenced statements of fact in the article. have attempted to source them to no avail (other than various sites that have obviously copy/pasted IDA's official website). will watch and remove some of them in about a week if no one else can reference this stuff either. Jpj681 (talk) 01:22, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Way, way too many unreferenced assertions that have been in/on the article for way too long. Researched them for a good while, as have others (I assume). Why were all these statements left up for such a long time?Ektogamut (talk) 03:49, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]This page reads like propaganda. It mostly just lists the organisation's accomplishments and only has a short paragraph on its history. Nothing about the people they've attacked or anything else like that. Steel Wool Killer (talk) 16:51, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
