Crunchyroll co-production
[edit]The official staff page for the show only lists NAS (Nihon Ad Systems) as the production company.[1] I added a clarification note because I feel this is kinda contradictory as it stands now. RoseCherry64 (talk) 22:51, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- The website shows the role of 制作 being filled by NAS, but this role is not to be confused with the role of 製作, which is not listed on the website, and is simply credited as 虚構推理製作委員会 (In/Spectre Production Committee) in the opening/ending credits, as well as a list of 9 staff who are also credited as 製作. The thing is, both 制作 and 製作 translates to "Production", but are separate roles. What Crunchyroll is referring to is that they are part of the role of 製作 (ie: they are part of the In/Spectre Production Committee, and they make up 1 of the nine staff in 製作), and as such, they are a co-producer of this anime. I hope this makes sense; it's hard to explain it. Alex Tenshi (talk) 13:45, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank for the explanation, this should probably be added as a footnote but I couldn't find any good sources for this. I think the clarification note should stay until the article is clearer about their involvement. They seem to advertise it as a "Crunchyroll Original" which is also confusing, given that it airs on multiple TV networks at the same time. RoseCherry64 (talk) 22:38, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
- The clarification note was removed, and I re-added it. There was two additional references from Crunchyroll themselves added, but the actual article needs to address why the company isn't listed in the credits or on the official page. Replacing the clarification note with some kind of footnote like the comment by Alex Tenshi would be good, but I can't find any references that would let me add one. These new references seem to just say the same thing as the previous ANN article, without any elaboration on their involvement. RoseCherry64 (talk) 20:14, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
