Luminance
The sun having the same luminance as the sky is entirely possible, especially in the presence of fog or heavy atmosphere. I believe Monet noted this phenomenon years later in some of his London paintings. So, I may delete or revise this passage in the article. JNW 14:23, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
External Links section
I don't believe the website listed in the external links section is notable enough to be listed in this article, and I might remove it. (Besides, all the images listed on that page are the same painting, just under different lighting conditions and cropped differently.) Rahk E✘[[ my disscussions | Who Is ]] 01:21, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- See WP:NNC. I think it is an interesting addition to the article, as it shows the wide divergence that occurs in colour reproductions of the same painting. Ty 01:42, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Wrong guideline. WP:NNC has nothing at all to do with external links, which are the diametric opposite of content within an article. See WP:EL, which militates against links of this sort. Some random nobody's personal blog ruminances about his individual surprise at what he found via a few Google searches is not encyclopedic. This is a prime example of what WP:EL was written to address. See also the reasoning behind WP:NOT#INDISCRIMINATE, WP:TRIVIA, WP:SPAM, WP:ITSINTERESTING and related guidelines against adding misc. junk to WP. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ɖ∘¿¤þ Contrib. 09:15, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
