Text deleted from Calendar (New Style) Act 1750 that maybe could be used here?

[edit]

I've been editing Calendar (New Style) Act 1750, specifically Calendar (New Style) Act 1750#Other former British colonies. Specifically, I've been reducing the amount of diversions into interesting side-alleys, per WP:FORK. I deleted this text for that reason, expecting it to be a copy of more extensive discussion in this article, but find that it is not. So I'm leaving it here for someone else to pick up if they think it has merit. (Is it an undergraduate essay?)

This did not repeal old British statutes and re-enact relevant measures. Instead section 1(1) says that British statutes listed in Schedule 1 "are hereby declared to be part of the laws of New Zealand". This includes the Calendar (New Style) Act 1750. Section 4 said that any other British statutes were not part of New Zealand law and so were, in effect, repealed.[1]
