If the corresponding reaction in the gas phase (e.g. gas discharge) is also called "impact ionization", it should be mentioned in the article.

Would a chemist include "impact ionization" in a list of chemical reactions?

Illegible text in this image

The text in this image is really messed up. It seems to me like it's at least legible when rendered by Firefox's SVG viewer (going to http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/Impact_ionization_schematic.svg directly), but the MediaWiki renderer makes the letters tiny and spaced out, so the text goes way outside the frame. —Keenan Pepper 16:05, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
