Foreshadowing?
[edit]Why does this make it sound as if this author "thought up" the idea of people who want to die killing random strangers? This isn't anything new; humans have been doing it for a thousand years. Running amok is a term in Malaysia where men suddenly pull out a sword and start brutally attacking nearby people until someone cuts him down. It's been part of their culture for hundreds of year, and is considered "normal" (relatively). So it's not like the idea is something new to humans. The only thing that has changed is that the incidents have begun occurring more often in Western society, and even more importantly, have gained widespread publicity, creating the illusion that this is some new phenomena..45Colt 22:58, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
Must use a time machine next time...
[edit]I came here to note that (some of) The Beatles saw the adaptation, and was beaten to it :) Lovingboth (talk) 15:39, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Seconds Movie
[edit]I'm surprised in the specific Film and TV section no mention is made of John Frankenheimer's "Seconds" starring Rock Hudson. Much of the basic plot is the same. 2A02:C7C:E0AC:3200:5CEE:4B45:5A6B:AACF (talk) 14:14, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
