Requesting help with references
[edit]Sutskever is a co-author on the AlphaGo, Sequence-to-Sequence, and TensorFlow papers. However, these papers are WP:PRIMARY sources, since Sutskever helped to write them. The article would be stronger if we could find WP:SECONDARY sources showing the connection of Sutskever to these 3 projects. I just added a news article that tenuously links Sutskever to AlphaGo, but references for this are hard to find, because Sutskever appears to have moved from Google to OpenAI around the time that the AlphaGo paper was covered in the news. Anyway, I don't personally doubt that Sutskever worked on these projects, but if anyone can find good sources, please do add them. 104gli (talk) 23:01, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
- An abstract in Nature of a paper listing its authors is not a primary source. A primary source would be Sutskever blogging about co-authoring the paper. 2600:8802:571B:E00:8945:7749:7A14:4CB3 (talk) 02:51, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Controversies section
[edit]I think this is premature, and it shouldn't be labeled "Controversies" unless there are reliable sources describing it that way. -- 2600:8802:571B:E00:8945:7749:7A14:4CB3 (talk) 02:54, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
Russian citizenship
[edit]Hi all, I am connected with Ilya Sutskever and wanted to explain my removal of the unsourced "Russian citizen" from his infobox. Technically, when Ilya was born in 1986, and the year that he left Russia, 1991, he was Soviet. You'll see here that Ilya emigrated from the Soviet Union when he was 5, which was 1991. This source demonstrates that "Russian citizenship" only began in 1992, and only applied to residents of Russia. Furthermore, this source states that he has Israeli and Canadian citizenship. I hope that clarifies things. Thanks 2601:98D:C380:2560:E003:B083:E5DA:C067 (talk) 17:37, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- I confirm this seems accurate Alenoach (talk) 20:26, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
