Relevance

This article doesn't argue for its own relevance. It should have some relevance beyond being a hypothetical invention registered as a patent. Is is discussed in relevant literature? Does it have a certain degree of popularity? Have there been any applications of this concept worth mentioning? --Jazzman (talk) 10:07, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

After some research, it seems most sources agree that the illusion transmitter is still used by NASA today. Some sources note that it is being adapted to be used in a surgical context.
