[edit]

Right now this page isn't organized in any obvious way. It could be chronological, alphabetical, or subcategorized into book, game, film, music references...? Schizombie

It's tempting to put it in "order of importance" just to keep Illuminatus! on top, but that's very POV and everyone will get into fights about the order. Subcategorized seems like the best option - books, movies, film, music perhaps? DenisMoskowitz 02:33, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Chronological within categories sounds good. Tom Harrison Talk 02:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK I made sections, but too lazy right now to organize them within the sections. Esquizombi 14:34, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eyes Wide Shut relevance?

[edit]

Along with Eyes Wide Shut, someone wrote, "It should also be noted that, Stanley Kubrick died 5 months before the release of this film". What the hell is that supposed to mean? Is that an off-the-hand accusation that the Illuminati was somehow involved in his death? Don't go looking for that sentence, I've removed it. It's simply irrelevant to the point of childishness. 74.56.135.39 (talk) 13:58, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs to be merged with Illuminati

[edit]

Let's be honest, this article is not very good. It could very easily be merged with the Illuminati article. In fact, it might help improve that article. Δnnuit Cœptis 16:33, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, I'm not sure, this article was actually moved out of that article 8 February 2006. You could propose a merge. But you're right that it isn't very good. It might be better with paragraphs discussing the subject with examples than as a list, I don't know. Шизомби (talk) 20:00, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I might be able to write a few paragraphs for it. Not at the moment, but I can probably add a few paragraphs eventually. Not only does it need to be less like a list, but it also needs to have cited sources. Δnnuit Cœptis 22:17, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Radical edit

[edit]

Per the 2nd AfD in progress I was thinking this article was something I'd rather work on after some of the other things I'm already working on, but maybe I'll give it a quick shot now. I was thinking of being WP:BOLD and possibly creating [Talk:Illuminati in popular culture/dumping ground] or something but I guess at least retrospectively that can be accessed in the edit history e.g. This is the current revision of this page, as edited by 203.184.41.3 (talk) at 11:29, 18 January 2010. Anyhow, I'm planning at the moment to delete essentially everything in the article and rewrite it as a stub or start class article which would have sources and hopefully have the structure to develop as an article rather than a list of references (which seem mostly trivial but may not be). Bad edit?

[edit]

"The role of the Illuminati in Horrid Mysteries, as in Montague Summers' introduction to a later reprint of it." isn't a complete sentence. As I have no idea what it is supposed to say, I'm unlikely to try fixing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.178.36 (talk) 01:24, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Area 51 video game reference

[edit]

The illuminati play a huge role in the plot of said video game. Heck, they are probably the largest group of enemies! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.211.193.230 (talk) 19:28, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FWA

[edit]

If you look up the end of the recent "FWA European Uprising" event, Alex Shane mentions the Illuminati. However, this may just be a passing reference. No more will be known until either the "FWA Frontline" in the next week or so, or as late as some time next year. Kobe System

[edit]

n you guys feel as though we should include the Kobe system series of commercials in the television section of the article? Many feel it seems to heavily reference the Illuminati and the idea of a group of world powerhouses from all different walks of life? Ddunlea21 (talk) 11:56, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information Missing

[edit]

The rappers and the pop culture aren´t the only music media to mention the existence of the Illuminati society. The heavy metal band Gamma Ray released an album about the Illuminati and the New World Order plan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.246.15.2 (talk) 11:41, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More infomration on the Gothic Literature would be nice

[edit]

Like what specifically is the first work of fiction to use the name Illuminati. A Complete Bibliography would be nice. Also would Eugene Sue's Sword of Honor of the Mysteries of a People saga count as Gothic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.131.26.175 (talk) 00:40, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not only for hip hop musicians

[edit]

The "Illuminati" conspiracy theory is not only limited for hip hop musicians, but the article doesn't elaborate the Illuminati in music industry. Several books and theories are pertaining the Illuminati in pop music as well. This article should be rewritten with reliable sources. The Supermind (talk) 09:35, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
