It was between the upper classes of British-India and the English /Britishers.

Ill-treatment of workers and other subordinated classes is part and parcel of the local social system, and is not a British import.

Almost all the apprehensions mentioned by the English side has become true after the formation of Pakistan, Bengladesh and India in the subcontinent.
