A few notes

[edit]

1. The Shinsengumi did NOT have 10 units until 1865, a year after the Ikedaya Affair.

2. While there are a few theories in regard of Yoshida's death, he was definitely NOT killed by Okita. (Nevertheless, Yoshida was likely injured by Okita during the incident.)

3. Rurouni Kenshin's Kyoto Arc does NOT begin with a very brief battle at the Ikedaya. Kenshin does NOT have the complete cross-shape scar till Dec (lunar calendar), 1864 and the name of the inn IS listed in the anime. (Eventhough I could not read that, I could read "Ikedaya.") One could also get several clues from the conversation at the inn.
