Track listing, writing credits without references and caps

[edit]

Caps is easy. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters. Proper names should be capitalized (Family Christian) but "bonus disc" isn't a proper name and should not be capitalized. If We're Honest is the proper name of the album, but bonus track isn't part of the name and so should not be capitalized.

Tack numbers are listed correctly at http://www.target.com/p/francesca-battistelli-if-we-re-honest-2cd-deluxe-edition-only-at-target/-/A-15414176: "Target Bonus Hits Disc:15Strangely Dim16This Is The Stuff 17Angel By Your Side18Free To Be Me19Beautiful Beautiful". Reverting is a bad move since the former url, [=http://www.target.com/p/francesca-battistelli-if-we-re-honest-2cd-deluxe-edition-only-at-target/-/A-15414176#prodSlot] has additional JavaScript invoking paramaters in it. The title is also wrong (compare the wrong title: "medium_1_1&termFrancesca Battistelli - If We're Honest (2CD)(De..." with the correct one: "Francesca Battistelli - If We're Honest (2CD)(De...") granted the "(De... " could be trimmed or expanded.

Finally no writing credits are present at the Target reference so don't add them. And if you add them, the correct way to do it is by family name only unless confusion may arise. Check any album by The Beatles, or U2 to see good examples. For multiple names, recent Skillet albums come to mind since both John and his wife write material.

I am reverting again and I assume that the new account, Ilovechristianmusic, is the same editor as the anon 98.222.152.244, and so we're both at WP:3RR on this. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:32, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

I would like to apologize to "Walter Gorlitz" for getting into a "Wiki War" with them. I just found this section, and when I saw their reasons for reverting it back to how they had it made a LOT of sense to me. So I apologize for coming off as "Snarky" or rude. Thank you! :D Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 18:52, 16 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

Tracklisting/Writers

[edit]

I will add the writers for the tracks/bonus tracks when I get this on Tuesday. (Projected delivery date.) Thanks :) Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 18:48, 19 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

I am sorry that I took away your joy of being able to add the composers to the article. I got it done with the help of Jesus Freak Hideout lyrics for the album. They can be found by going here, and clicking on lyrics.HotHat (talk) 07:46, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just the Same

[edit]

I want to thank the user HotHat for adding the writers of the songs. I added the writers and length of "Just the Same" to give more accurate details. I have obtained my information from the linear notes of the album's booklet. I've gotten this information early due to Family Christian Bookstore shipping the album out early. Again, thank you HotHat! Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 20:19, 21 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

Target bonus disc

[edit]

I had a question about the Target bonus disc. Should that be edited as a separate disc with tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5? Or left as a part of disc 1 like the reference shows? Thanks. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 14:36, 23 April, 2014

The reference indicates it's additional tracks and not a bonus disc. Is there a source that supports that it's a second disc? Does it have a different UPC code or other thing that could show that it's a secondary disc? Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:24, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you click on the reference site, it states in the description that it has a 2nd CD, which is a bonus hits CD. I have stated my resources so you could see what I'm talking about. http://www.target.com/p/francesca-battistelli-if-we-re-honest-2cd-deluxe-edition-only-at-target/-/A-15414176#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=if+we%27re+honest It also states under the track-listing that it has a second disc. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 19:21, 24 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

That's the confusing thing. It does say two-CD but the track numbers are sequential. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:27, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So do you think it would be O.K. to list it as a separate CD? Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 19:33, 24 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]
I'm not entirely sure. If you have the album from them and it's two discs, I would trust you to make the change. Otherwise, it's not entirely clear if it's one or two discs. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:39, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have ordered that edition of "If We're Honest", it has not came in the mail yet, but when I get it I will let you know what it is. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 20:39, 24 April 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]
It is in fact 2 CDs. It said according to the sticker on the CD wrap that it is a limited edition. The second CD has 5 tracks.

Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 21:23, 2 May 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

Please make the change and reference the liner notes using Template:Cite AV media notes. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:50, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite sure how to do that. It was not taken from the booklet, because it was in the area behind the CDs. I'm not sure what you call that area, but that's where I obtained my info. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 14:01, 3 May 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]
Right. The idea is that the current reference is ambiguous, but if you reference the media it's not, although the threshold for venerability is higher. Check out the template and see if there are parameters that you can fill-out using the information at hand. If you can't, this discussion offers support. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:15, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I sited the it the way that I did for certain information with respect to Welcome to the New and Rivers in the Wasteland.HotHat (talk) 20:43, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you HotHat! I was kind of concerned about that, because I'm still warming up to the way things are done here on Wikipedia. So thanks HotHat & Walter Görlitz for helping me out! Outdated?

[edit]

How? Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:16, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your guess is as good as mine. So, I would not proffer one up.HotHat (talk) 20:44, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"He Knows My Name"

[edit]

It has already been released and has radio airplay. Can you please add a link to show the confirmed release date? It has airplay on K-LOVE, not sure about other stations. But I have added my resources. Also, if a song is released to a radio station, that means it is a single. Some radio stations have a delayed add-on. Thanks. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 15:53, 16 July 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

If you can find a WP:RS to support the release, or that it's charting. A listing that an individual station is playing it isn't a good source. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:34, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I will try to find a better source. Ilovechristianmusic (talk) 15:21, 17 July 2014 (UTC)ilovechristianmusic[reply]

Template:Flatlist

[edit]

@Walter Görlitz: How did I overuse Template:Flatlist? According to the article, it is an alternative use to commas, and many music articles - artists, singles, albums, etc. - are using the flatlist template now. The article also doesn't state that there can be an overuse of flatlisting. MoS:LISTS doesn't state that, either. Same explanation for Empires (Hillsong United album). ilovechristianmusic (Tell Me Something!) 15:39, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is an alternative, and it should only be used when the list is longer than three items. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:58, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Both pages I linked don't show that it should only be used when the list is longer than three items? ilovechristianmusic (Tell Me Something!) 19:37, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
See Template:Infobox musical artist#cite note-lists-1. Infobox single is the only template that uses flatlists liberally. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:03, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I won't add them back, but the link doesn't explicitly state that flatlist shouldn't be used. Just that the comma format is preferred with smaller info in infobox/track listing. Thanks for linking the article! ilovechristianmusic (Tell Me Something!) 17:10, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
