There is no evidence that the archbishop of Greece is Arvanite (Albanian language speaking with Albanian origin)
[edit]I find no reliable evidence for this. Do you have his family tree or do you suppose that the fact that he was raised in a province where meny Arvanites live, he is an Arvanite as well?688dim (talk) 10:27, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- There is a reliable source cited right next to the statement. It's from a sociologist who spoke with him about it. Fut.Perf. ☼ 11:49, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
The fact that he lived in a province where many Arvanites live makes him an Arvanite as well?688dim (talk) 12:04, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- His surname is Liapis. The Liapides were a turkalbanian fara (clan) that used to slay native Greeks. What else would you want for a proof that he is a turkalbanian?
well he can't be a "turco-albanian" because his family wasn't muslim... Propably comes from an orthodox arvanite family. Linguu (talk) 07:51, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
