Move?

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No move. The variant spellings make this complicated, but it appears that there's no consensus that the website is the primary topic of the spelling "Idolator". Idolator will become the dab page; Idolater will redirect to Idolatry and will be listed on the dab page. We can revisit in the future once the dust settles and we can determine which topic is primary. Cúchullain t/c 17:41, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I mostly agree, though it seems odd to title that page with a different spelling from every item on it. --BDD (talk) 18:51, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Idolater redirects to idolatry. Certainly idolator and idolater should point to the same page, whether that's the dab page or the article. Jafeluv (talk) 09:56, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As User:Jafeluv above, Idolater (disambiguation) was moved to Idolator but really dab pages should be at "correct" (or at least most common) spellings. It's unfortunate that the pop world often misspells "-or" and "-er" nouns, but it happens. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:55, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
