Originally the performances took place right down town on the grassy-sloped lawns of One Capital Center. Where Angel's Bar and Grill is now. When Angel's moved to the location in 1981 they asked that the venue be changed. The festival then moved to an area next to a duck pond at Plantation Golf Course. In 1984 the theater was offered a plot of land near the Park Center area From OreIda for $1 a year. As the festival grew the state-of-the-art facility that the theater now enjoys was in the works.
