How did Bulgaria qualify for this tournament? If teams ranked 13th through 18th were to compete (6 teams), why are 9 teams listed? A lot of people are mocking there scores, but it seems like part of the reason is they were not ranked high enough to qualify (actually, it does not appear they were ranked at all - IIHF World Ranking). Same thing goes for Great Britain and Croatia. Can anyone help answer this?RonSigPi (talk) 14:14, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No idea, but this loophole has got to be tightened up. They're in Division 5. They played a Divsion 1 team. No wonder they lost 82:0!!!Lord Tau (talk) 21:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Any nation can enter the olympic games qualifers simple as. The rights and wrongs of it aside, it was above board. Personally though< i would have had Bulgaria play a qualifer against Croatia for the final spot and just have a four team group thourgh Carpo1982 (talk) 12:06, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
