Beech Baron

[edit]

I might be wrong, but I think the light twin-piston that appears on the show is a Beechcraft Travel Air, not a Baron. The airplane has straight tail surfaces, and its props have two blades instead of three. What do you guys think? Cpt Vidal (talk) 21:57, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you see the civil idents on the aircraft? This is a shot of FULX that I got in Yellowknife. It has two blades, and the straight tail surface but if you enter FULX in the Mark box it is listed as a 95-C55 which is a Beechcraft Baron. This Baron has three blades and the straight tail while another one two blades. Also the image at Beechcraft Travel Air, which is the only one available, shows a more rounded tail and two blades. Buffalo has 2 Barons and 3 Travel Air's. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 15:54, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I remember seeing FULX on the show, but I'm not sure if it was the only one.Cpt Vidal (talk) 18:59, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be in Yellowknife tomorrow and need to get some pictures at the airport. I 'll check and see what's out there. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 05:46, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is This The Weather Channel Version?

[edit]

Just passing through and trying to read all this info and make sense of it. . . and did NOT find any references to the fact that it is now a regular feature on the Weather Channel. If this IS that version it should probably be mentioned on the front page, if not ignore this message, must be some other Ice Pilots show. Lesbrown99 (talk) 01:46, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is. It's using a slightly different name (and theme song, I think) in the States. OhanaUnitedTalk page 22:42, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PROBABLY NEED TO PUT THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE, THEN. Although i am not sure that User: OhanaUnited can be considered as a "Source" for that information, also the reason i myself do not write on front pages. Thank-You for info and now if anybody wants to say this is also Weather Channel version with different name, then. . . . . Lesbrown99 (talk) 04:24, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good News, Good News, Good News!!!
