Deletion?

[edit]

This article had a VERY lengthy discussion over its validity this summer and the consensus was to keep it. It is absolutely ridiculous that the discussion is back open. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.36.67 (talk) 13:49, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the discussion back open? Fezmar9 (talk) 17:28, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Band discography

[edit]

I have removed the following:

EPs
Demos
  • The Pop-Punk Ska Years (2006, Self-released)

The reson for these removals is due to The Burning and The Pop-Punk Ska Years referenced as studio albums while 2 Song Acoustic and The Predator are nowhere to be found, If you can tell me I'm wrong for doing this and can provide reliable sources (not iTunes, not Last.FM, actual reliable news articles) then please do so as AllMusic does not list them. SilentDan (talk) 22:26, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just looked at a previous revision and I am so confused, apologies for any confusion caused but looks like I will have to go through the entire history before I even touch the discography page, assistance would be greatly appreciated. SilentDan (talk) 22:31, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs serious work

[edit]

There is no need for a mention every single time the band teases new music, posts a photo of them in the studio, announces a tour, reveals album artwork, releases a lyric video, releases a music video, announces a single, announces a music video, ect ect. Start adding "Tours" sections to these pages if necessary. If nothing else, album cycles can be condensed into a few short paragraphs. The way the page currently stands does nothing but clutter the article and it makes it difficult to read. There is no way this band (and others) have histories that are notable or or interesting enough to warrant giant, ugly walls of text like this. Thank you. Content removal edit war

[edit]

@CatTits10: Your edit removed an excessive amount of information in The Silver Scream 2 section and introduced factual errors in the Silver Scream 1 section by including singles from the second. Let see if we can reach some sort of compromise by removing excessive information. Single releases are not excessive information. There is some information in the article that isn't sourced or poorly sourced that could be trimmed or removed. Bowling is life (talk) 14:15, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All mentions of lyric videos and "30-second teasers" are getting gutted from the article one way or the other. CatTits10 (talk) 14:18, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@CatTits10: That's totally fine, but your edit removed an excessive amount of information in The Silver Scream 2 section and introduced factual errors in the Silver Scream 1 section by including singles from the second. Single releases are not excessive information. I do agree that this page does need work though. I am not at all saying that it is perfect the way it is. There is some information in the article that isn't sourced or poorly sourced that could be trimmed or fully removed. Bowling is life (talk) 14:20, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I might have fucked up. I'm gonna go trim the unsourced info now. Also, I'm thinking album cylces can be trimmed down to "the album produced the singes x, y and z, with music videos being made for y and z." It can go more in depth on the album's page. I've noticed that articles for metalcore bands waste a significant amount of time talking about "annoucements" of albums and singles, more than actual "releases" of albums and singles. CatTits10 (talk) 14:26, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah the Silver Scream 2 section is way too beefy. I agree we should trim it down to each single the album produced along with a source to support each single. Bowling is life (talk) 14:38, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Miles Dimitri Baker

[edit]

Miles Dimitri Baker, in his own Instagram profile, states that he is a “touring member.” Perhaps we should remove him from the official members section. 184.153.42.65 (talk) 02:36, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the same after seeing his YouTube channel description, but turns out he's credited on their most recent single, along with their very new drummer: https://i.redd.it/gcpb26uj0mtd1.jpeg - so I'd be guessing he's a permanent member and his socials are just not up to date.
