Ibrahim Umar should not be confused with Ibrahim Umar (MAUTECH 9th VC)
Ibrahim Umar was the former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano between 1979 to 1986 who died in 2023. While Ibrahim Umar (MAUTECH 9th VC) is the new Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama Federal University of Technology, Yola, appointed in 2024
