Prostitues or sexual slaves
[edit]Ianfu(慰安婦) means "prostitutes" in Japanese. This page explanation is completely wrong. Who wrote this page? And do not remove the real comfort women's picture.

- This is a disambiguation page. It should not have images of any kind. It should only contain links that clear up confusion between several different articles with similar names. The explanation on this page is just a very short description of the main articles that are linked from this disambiguation page. If the article is changed so much that the description is no longer correct, then the summary here should be changed to reflect that. It should not change unless the linked article changes substantially. For other examples of disambiguation pages, see for example Japanese or Macbeth (disambiguation). I wrote that meaning of translation is wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usagidot (talk • contribs) 02:17, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- That might be right. I don't speak Japanese. However, it is very clear to me that the article on comfort women show that some, or most, of the women were not prostitutes, but were forced into sexual slavery by the army. I think it is wrong therefore to describe them simply as "prostitutes". Would you accept my previous description: "the prostitutes and women forced into sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II"? If not, then why? And remember that we are trying to give an accurate description of the article comfort women. Knuthove (talk) 02:26, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Well...Translation should be right all the time.Usagidot (talk) 02:33, 27 February 2021 (UTC)usagidot
- They sued Japan in 1991, and I have the complaint. They demanded Japan for their unpaid balances. And they testified that they were brought by Korean men. They were NOT sex slaves.Usagidot (talk) 02:38, 27 February 2021 (UTC)usagidot
- That is not a relevant question for this article. This article ONLY describes the linked articles. If you think the linked articles are wrong, you should convince the editors there, on that article's talk page, with good, neutral sources. The article on comfort women opens by describing them as "women and girls forced into being sex slaves by the Imperial Japanese Army." Only later does it say that some of them were willing prostitutes. Therefore, this description would not be correct unless it mentions this. Knuthove (talk) 02:48, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
KnuthoveAgain, translation is wrong. Ianfu means prostitutes in Japanese. And, You need to show me own evidence. I have these pictures. Also, I have their testimonies at court of Japan. What is your evidence?
That is funny... you said you don't speak Japanese, but this translation is right...
- For the last time. This article only describes the linked articles. If you think they are wrong, you need to take it there. Also, on Wikipedia, the person that wants to add or restore things is the one that needs to show evidence, and that evidence has to be in the form of reliable sources, not simply claims. You were the one who wrote that translation. I do not know if it is wrong or right. Knuthove (talk) 02:56, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Translation should be right all the time Usagidot (talk) 03:01, 27 February 2021 (UTC)usagidot
- Yes, and since I presume you do speak Japanese, I will accept your translation. However, if you can not give me a good reason why, I will restore my description of the page comfort women. Knuthove (talk) 03:03, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
KnuthoveThank you for the acception. Ianfu(慰安婦)'s job posting for back then still exists. Usagidot (talk) 03:27, 27 February 2021 (UTC)usagidot

- Please write in English on the English Wikipedia. As we went over at length the last time, this page has to accurately reflect the linked pages, and the page on comfort women very clearly describes them as girls forced into sexual slavery. This is not up for debate. If the article on comfort women changes this description, then and only then can we edit this disambiguation page to reflect the new reality. I see. I updated. Please read well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usagidot (talk • contribs) 14:33, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- You wrote {{lang|ja|慰安婦,いあんふ,comfort women}}. This is wrong use of that template. You should write the English text outside of the curly brackets. You also still deleted the reference to sexual slaves, even though the introduction of the article the link describes says "Comfort women were women and girls forced into being sex slaves". You also added "There are job posts for back then still exist." This is nonsensical, unsourced and irrelevant for this disambiguation page. I will revert your edit to the previous version, and if you continue to push your version I will take this matter up with the Dispute resolution noticeboard. Knuthove You have to show me completely perfect evicence. Where is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usagidot (talk • contribs) 14:44, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- I do not. You completely misunderstand how Wikipedia works. Please read and understand Wikipedia's three core policies on neutral point of view, verifiability and no original research. Also, since this is a disambiguation page, you should read and understand the policy on disambiguation pages . Knuthove (talk) 14:53, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
Knuthove No, I am for sure that you CAN'T do it. Since you cannot understand Korean and Japanese. I'll back this to you > This is nonsensical, unsourced and irrelevant. You just proved that you don't know any real things. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usagidot (talk • contribs) 14:58, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
Knuthove And Ianfu is a Japanese word, comfort women is what translate about it. It means this page is completely wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usagidot (talk • contribs) 15:00, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
Knuthove Larry Niksch’s daughter tweeted, "my father worked so hard to force the Japanese to admit wrongdoing for exploiting Koreans during WW II to become comfort women". In fact, he didn't have compelling evidence. That is why I am asking where the evidence is. Usagidot (talk) 15:08, 15 March 2021 (UTC)usagidot
