[edit]I have created (in error: by copying what used to be on this page; my apologies!) a new page for Ian Ferguson (canoeist) to replace this one "Ian Ferguson (athlete)" as there is a former New Zealand track and field athlete by that name and it is best that any confusion be avoided. Besides, someone who has won 4 Olympic Gold medals should have their sport correctly identified. DerbyCountyinNZ 03:22, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
I have now added some details and removed the redirect. Hopefully there will be no more confusion. DerbyCountyinNZ 11:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've moved this page to Ian Ferguson (canoeist). The term "canoer" is rarely if ever encountered in NZ, and - as per WP normal naimg conventions - articles relating specifically to one country should use the form of English used in that country. Grutness...wha? 22:06, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
