Moderator of General Assembly
[edit]Wouldn't it be best just to change this heading to something like "View of Homosexuality" or some such, since the material in this section is about this issue and only incidentally related to his tenure as Moderator?Mtalleyrand 16:10, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Post-nominal letters
[edit]@Gaia Octavia Agrippa: Could you clarify what you meant in your recent edit summary which said Not commas in the infobox either
? Thanks, 207.161.86.162 (talk) 01:17, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello 142, as per WP:POSTNOM the formatting of the post-nominal letters in the lead section follows that of the first major contribution unless there's a reason otherwise. The following is the desired standard:
either be separated from the name by a comma and each set divided by a comma, or no commas should be used at all
. The most common exception being that of titled individuals for whichcommas should always be used for consistency's sake
, or a local consensus. This guidance applies to post-noms as they appear in the lead section, while in the infobox no commas and 100% sizing is the preferred style for readability/accessibility reasons (I don't have the appropriate talk page discussions at hand, sorry). - Simply put, the formatting in the lead varies depending on "first dibs", but the infobox is treated separately and consistently across Wiki. I hope this makes things clearer than my edit summary, Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 01:34, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

What gives you this impression? 207.161.86.162 (talk) 03:11, 12 November 2020 (UTC)- @Gaia Octavia Agrippa: Is there a consistent approach about the use of "Professor" in infoboxes? I was surprised to see it removed and, if arbitrarily, it should be restored Mark Hamid (talk) 12:53, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, it falls under MOS:DOC: Professor is considered (by Wikipedia) as an academic title like "Dr", and so it isn't used but instead
verifiable facts about how a person attained his or her title should be included in the article

Ian Torrance
[edit]I was a pupil of Ian Torrance in Patristic Theology mid-late 90s. Supervisor of my dissertation on Origen’s ‘De Principis’ superbly. Brilliant man and Theologian, today I visited the grave of William Robertson Smith at Keig 2.5 miles from Alford Aberdeenshire, renowned Cambridge Arabic Scholar in 1890s. Fond memories of Ian and Aberdeen University. Craig Anderson ca0277404@gmail.com. 2A00:23C6:A497:2701:9426:25D9:62CB:A270 (talk) 15:22, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
